We’ve teamed up with the excellent and very talented artists at the nearby Ash Gallery to bring you this superb opportunity to exercise your creativity. Trudy Burke works in metal and clay and also creates bespoke stained glass work. Her portfolio ranges from small intricate sculptures to large public art commissions. Trudy’s lifelong passion for art has given her years of experience which she enjoys sharing with others through her creative workshops. The three hour class is an introductory session to Stained Glass Art. You will be guided through the various stages of the Tiffany Glass Technique. Participants can choose from several designs and learn how to cut glass, copper foil, solder and finish to a fine quality a beautiful glass decoration, which can be taken home with you on the day. £260 for up to 4 people all materials provided. Additional attendees are charged at £65 per person up to a maximum of 8 people.

Rosalind Murphy is an award winning member of the Ulster Watercolour Society with decades of teaching experience. Her session with you will last for 2 - 2.5 hours in The Ash Gallery and you will take home your own, mounted painting that has been created using newly acquired skills and techniques. Cost :  £220 for up to 4 people with all materials provided. Additional masterclass attendees will be charged at £55 per person to a maximum number of 6.

Tapping into the awe and magic of the Mournes, in this masterclass Nick will show you ways you can use photography not only to reconnect with nature but to find your own story of connection; to find what nature means to you. This can help you to enhance your sense of wellbeing in your personal relationship with nature, and find inspiration for new creative projects. Nick has been exploring photography and video for many years in and around the Mournes and the Shetland Isles with an emphasis on the emotional energy in nature and the elements, and its influence on sense of place and of self. This masterclass will help you take thoughtful and meaningful photographs using just your mobile phone. The class will include an introductory session exploring the idea of finding your story, a trip out into the forest or coastal paths to take photos using feeling and remembering, and a session looking at how to tease out and record your story from your photographs including simple photoshop software. Cost up to four people £200.  Additional participants are charged at £45 per person up to a maximum of 8 people.
